@northpaws
Wow. Just wow. Read my comment. Then read it again. Maybe you'll finally understand where the cost comes from. Jfc
Yes. No. Maybe. Why do YOU care if we buy stuff or don't? Maybe worry about you're doing and let others do their own thing.
That would be happening regardless you dunce. The main cost driver is servers and bandwidth for people do re-download content without any new revenue. And THAT would have been the case regardless of store closure. I swear some of you just like typing crap without even putting an ounce of thought into it.
@toad and raider
Do you people even understand what you're saying? The main cost driver is allowing people to download content from your servers without any new revenue.
i.e. Servers and network bandwidth are not free. So in essence if they removed new PS3 purchases and kept downloads available, then they're still bleeding money. More so, in fact, because there is no money coming in, however minuscule it is nowadays.
Secondly, i...
You're all over this thread saying "I don't care if they close the store", defending a billion dollar corporation like some shill, and now blasting consumers for wanting to keep access to the store.
You clearly do care, but seemingly for ALL the wrong reasons.
PSP store technically went offline in like 2016. Since then it has only been accessible on the Vita.
Why do you care about a multi-billion dollar corporations finances?
Okay....You want a cookie or something? None of what you just rambled on about matters in the slightest. You don't care, good for you, move on then and don't comment your drivel.
Exactly this. I have known that an external SSD would benefit loading times, but at $100 for only 1tb (which isn't even enough for me) I decided to just wait and put that money towards and NVME expansion.
The cope in this thread is HARD.
Not on a 60hz display.
45fps is unstable by definition, unless you're on VRR. A regular display will only do 60hz, so every third frame is being duplicated causing a constant judder.
It's called RPCS3.
Or...he's correct. They have telemetry, they can see how often people play old games. You people need to understand that if you go on N4G, reddit, FB groups, etc. to talk about games or keep up with games, then you are the hardcore of the hardcore and you makeup a tiny, TINY portion of the gaming public.
None of that is to say that I agree with taking down the stores or support Sony not doing BC for PS1-3.
Games don't cease to exist just because people can't purchase them. By that logic no NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, PS1, PS2, OG Xbox, etc. games exist.
A. You can use the phone app to trigger downloads.
B. It's not available for download. It was merely UPLOADED to PSN.
Those were new products. It required developer work.
Way to miss the point. Yes, 4K is generally a waste of resources. So the solution is to use temporal/checkerboard upscaling and not to drop it down to 1440p ffs.
Oh, yeah? How's that Death Stranding port on Xbox? My point is that when Sony funds something, they control the IP. Nothing to do with "loyalty" whatever the hell that even means.
Let's not go down that road. VRR is cool and definitely should be added ASAP, but it's not a practical solution, when 99% of TVs don't have it.
1800p might not make much of a difference. We'll be able to verify this when the full game comes out, but Capcom suggesting that Series X does not perform better than PS5 points me to a CPU bottleneck with the BVH structure.
